When Should Wisdom Teeth Be Removed?
19 April 2026 · 4 min read
Wisdom teeth that erupt in a good position and can be cleaned properly may simply be monitored. Problems arise when there is insufficient space, causing partial eruption or impaction.
Repeated gum infection, decay affecting the wisdom tooth or the tooth in front, and pain or swelling are common reasons removal is considered.
Radiographs help assess the position and roots before any decision is made.
Treatment recommendations vary from patient to patient. A consultation with a qualified dental professional is required to determine the appropriate treatment.
