Restorative Dentistry

Veneers

Veneers are thin, custom-made shells bonded to the front surface of the teeth to improve their appearance. They may be used alongside crowns and bridges within a wider restorative plan — for example, veneers restore the visible front teeth while crowns protect and rebuild damaged back teeth, and bridges replace missing teeth. Material and design are chosen based on the tooth, bite and aesthetic goals after evaluation.

Veneers is carried out by Dr. Gajulavarthi Joel Sandeep, MDS, Implantologist & Periodontologist, at our Guntur clinic and Narasaraopet clinic.

Frequently asked questions

Are veneers the same as crowns?

No. Veneers cover only the front surface of a tooth for appearance, while crowns cover the entire tooth to protect and rebuild a damaged one. They are often used together in a full-mouth plan.

How long do veneers last?

Longevity depends on the material, bite forces and oral hygiene, so no fixed lifespan can be promised. Regular check-ups help maintain them.

Do veneers suit everyone?

No. Veneers need healthy gums, sound underlying tooth structure and a stable bite. Where alignment or bite is the main issue, orthodontic treatment may be recommended instead.

Who should consult a dentist: Consult a dentist if you are unhappy with the shape or colour of your front teeth.

Treatment recommendations vary from patient to patient. A consultation with a qualified dental professional is required to determine the appropriate treatment.
